The Electrical Safety Roundtable, in partnership with TrustMark, have developed an online tool to allow people to easily report unsafe or non-compliant electrical installation work found in homes.
The reporting tool can be used by anyone who finds unsafe or non-compliant electrical installation work. Please note that the reporting tool is not intended for issues found with electrical appliances.
The information provided will help improve understanding of the type and nature of unsafe and non-compliant electrical installation work in homes throughout the UK.
Data collected from the reporting tool will be analysed regularly and the results made public. The findings will help to quantify the level of risk posed by electrical installations to households and will be used to consider whether legislative changes are needed to enhance electrical safety standards.
Reports submitted will not lead to enforcement action against those who performed unsafe or non-compliant work, but rather help quantify the level of risk posed by installations.

We would encourage you to share this with your network and remember if it doesn’t conform fill out the form. The more data and evidence that can be collated, the more effective the industry can be in campaigning for enhanced electrical safety standards.
