The growing demand for skilled, competent and qualified electricians means that it is now easier than ever to purchase fraudulent certificates and fake skills cards.  The authenticity of electrical qualification certificates and skills cards cannot be taken for granted.

To help tackle the growing issue of fake industry credentials and paid-for qualifications, NET has introduced a new online tool that enables users to verify the validity of an AM2 certificate.

Any certificate issued by NET already includes a number of security measures to combat counterfeits.  However, the online search tool now provides an additional method of verification, making it even simpler for employers and others to confirm a certificate’s legitimacy.

Checking the validity of the AM2 certificate is straightforward.  Users simply input the certificate’s issue number as well as the holder’s National Insurance number on the NET website. The NET website will indicate whether it has a certificate that fits those details or if further investigation is needed.

This is an excellent tool that can be used by employers and Clients to help combat those who are trying to cheat the system.

You can access the NET certificate checker here – https://www.netservices.org.uk/check-cert-search/
